24, history student, Catholic convert, northwesterner, nerd. I like: The X-Files, 30 Rock, Spaced, Arrested Development, medieval history, art and iconography, ecclesiastical architecture, children's literature, Catholic novels, and all kinds of books.
I can’t get into any of these “medieval memes,” because that isn’t just some dour tonsured medieval-looking dude with a halo, it’s St Thomas Aquinas, and his iconographical representation is as distinctive as a photo. So unless St Thomas is actually a part of the joke/meme, I can’t see it. I know memes aren’t always supposed to correlate with the image, but just, like, St Thomas never knew, spoke, or read Old English, so unless you have some joke to make about Latin or the time he beat off a prostitute with a broom, don’t expect me to reblog it.
Oh wait I did.
